На дан Св. Евстатија; Св. свештеномученика Гаврила; Св. Никодима Српског 26-ог децембра 2009 год. Свету Архијерејску Литургију служили су Његово Преосвештенство Епископ источн-амерички Господин  МИТРОФАН  и Његово Преосвештенство Епископ Новограчанички средњезападно -амерички Господин ЛОНГИН. У црквеној порти Владике су дочекала дјеца у српским традиционалним ношљама као и велики број вјерног народа. Црквени хор на Св. Литургији предводио је Господин Симо Гламочлија (85) који је уједно и један од првих људи који су били од почетка стваранје и оснивања црквене заједнице.

На Светој Литургије вјерном народу обратио се богомнадахнутом беседом Његово Преосвестенство Владика МИТРОФАН. После свете литургије послужен је ручак (трпеза љубљви) за све присутне, после чега су Владике обишли и прегледали Цркву која је у току изградње. Присутни вјерни народ изразио је радост и благодарност Богу због посете и благослова двојице Архијереја.

        Appeal for Help toward the Construction of the St. Sava Church in North Port, FL

Voluntary assistance in every God-pleasing work is in keeping with the spirit of tradition of our Serbian Orthodox Church.   On this occasion, we ask all people of good will for financial contributions for the newly commenced construction of the Church of St. Sava in North Port, Florida.  

       This beautiful church, a copy of The Nativity Church of The Most Holy Theotokos of Obilic in Kosovo and Metohija, will serve as a pillar to the present generation of Serbs and represent a unique landmark in North Port, which has welcomed an increasing number of Serbs from the northern American continent.   The Church’s regal splendor is a witness to Orthodoxy and its Serbian-Byzantine architectural style a reminder of its exceptional beauty as the expression of the Orthodox soul. 

      We are aware of the current situation the whole world is in, of the material and spiritual crisis, and of the difficult circumstances we live in.  However, no matter how difficult the circumstances may be, there are always means and ways in which to contribute to such a God pleasing work as this one.   Each and every one of us is obliged to demonstrate our love to Holy Orthodoxy and our wounded Serbian people indeed.   As already mentioned, the present construction is a copy of the original Church in Kosovo and Metohija, which was severely damaged through arson and was demolished shortly thereafter. 

      We invoke the Lord’s blessing upon all those who have extended their efforts and help in this holy work and upon all the patrons who have contributed to the erection of our new church, and we pray that the Lord may reward you all with his heavenly and eternal riches.

       Regarding this rare occasion when we are building St. Sava Church in North Port, Florida which is good, for all of  us, we are thankful for your help and generous contribution.

      This is of great importance for building our new Church. With this great action you declare  profound love toward Orthodox Church and wounded Serbian Nation. This Church is a replica of the Birth of Mother of God from Kosovo and Metohija which was burned in 2004, and soon after ruined and demolished.

      We value all of the peoples efforts in helping to build our Holy Church and express our gratitude to all of you who contributed in any way to improve our Holy Church’s life in our  religious community, and this new sacred building project.

     We appeal God`s blessing to all with the prayer  to reward you and your family with His  heavenly and earthly  goodness.
